Cork Based Visual Artist Isaac Stillwell is a graduate of the Crawford College of Art and Design in Cork City, Ireland. Focused on the depiction of the predictable and unpredictable parts of life through a combination of Fractal geometry, games, chance and music. The themes of Isaac’s work draw from the cross over of STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts and Mathematics) subjects, Combining the sciences and arts to create aesthetic visual pieces.

As the themes of Isaac’s work draw from the cross over of STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts and Mathematics) subjects, he has exhibited in the James Barry Exhibition Centre for Science Week in the 2016 exhibit “V i s a b l e Frequencies” for his combination the sciences and arts.

I see my process of creation as magnified snapshots from reality, Imitations of how life is lived and forms freely within boundaries. This is expressed through games of chance, music and repetitive systems of drawing.

Creating boundaries that cannot change, allows a certain freedom to grow and move through artistic expression within the rules, yet fulfilling one of many possible outcomes. E.g. how music is, simply put, the mathematics of sound. There are rules but genres can evolve so frequently over time.
