Athena and Peitho relax in a garden is from Jennifer’s current and ongoing series of work titled Methodology. For the first time Jennifer has introduced symbolism into her work. The reference of mythological characters add meaning to the paintings.

Description
Athena was the goddess of battle and strategy, and wisdom. Peitho is the goddess of persuasion and seduction. Together they sit and talk about the future. They are aware of the gaze and being watched but they have no interest in being seen. They do not perform to the viewer. Here Jennifer highlights a voyeuristic gaze, one that is growing in society due to social media. Athena and Peitho unite and make plans for the future. Athena was always accompanied by an owl symbolising wisdom and intelligence.
