Keep Chilled, Like

This is a happy city painting, resilient in the face of the massive overhaul of life caused by the pandemic. A calm message “keep chilled” beams from the orange skyscraper to counteract the serious public health warnings facing the current population. Pieces of motherboard and framed smiley faces represent the lifeline that technology has provided in this brave new world, as much of people’s lives has moved online to little boxes. The skyline leaves room to breathe, with glittered clouds promising a brighter horizon ahead. Like all of my work, this idealised cityscape emphasises the interdependence of all colours and shapes, to form a multi-layered symphony of beauty.
