Try New Shape

€220.00

By Catherine Ryan – View Artist’s Profile

This piece is made on a wooden chopping board. Why? For a change. Someone once told me that the chaos is better contained in a circle or oval shape, instead of the conventional square or rectangle canvas. I was moving studio at the time, from my dream studio space in the attic of a large Georgian building on the top of O’Connell Street to a space on Pearse Street. There is a push button at the bottom. Life doesn’t stay still so it’s good to chop things up and Try New Shapes sometimes.
