The Old Head of Kinsale is one of the most iconic sights of the Kinsale area. Until the age of 10 years old I lived in Kinsale. When I think of my own origins, or my home, I think back to Kinsale. Instead of taking first hand references of the location, I used media from the web to make my initial sketch and then painting from memory after the sketch. I did this to be more evocative that the place is a nostalgic memory rather than it being fresh in my mind.
