Photo from family album – gathering of unknown people I

These images are an attempt to introduce myself to a cast of seemingly colorful characters, that have all ended up bound together forever in one rather small black & white photograph. Living alongside the many other faces and places which are no longer family(iar) to me.

There’s an aged smell in the cupboard with the creaky door hinges, which is stuffed to the brim of our family albums through generations. Here, there’s stories I have heard before and am able to recount; there’s ones that seem vaguely familiar. Then, there are those that I will never know to be told. The distance of time scattered the tree branches of our lives further apart from each other – than one can ever imagine in their own lifetime.
