Twentyfour III

When I think of scattering, my mind immediately goes to the moment before, when the dispersal is imminent. The last fleeting second of ‘together’. These pieces were created with  the forced dispersal of peoples in mind; the herding of families and communities from one place to another and the horror of the unknown; the hope of refuge but the knowledge of a dangerous journey ahead or of an uncertain future. Of scattering within an enforced boundary  at the orders of an oppressor.
