Across diverse contexts—whether in the shifting patterns of the sky, the migration of people, the application of paint, or the passage of time — there exists a universal experience of scattering. As humans, we find ourselves dispersed by forces both external and internal, whether through geographic relocation, emotional distance, or the natural progression of life.
Yet, within this scattering lies a profound potential for reconnection. Our roots, relationships, and shared histories form intricate networks that, despite physical or emotional distances, continue to bind us together. This process of scattering and reuniting, of shedding the old to embrace the new, reflects the dynamic and resilient nature of the human experience. Whether scattered by choice or circumstance, we carry within us the threads that link us back to our origins, to each other, and to the ever-present possibility of reconnection.
Original artworks created specifically for this concept collection by Nua Collective artists Anne Martin Walsh, Caoimhe Heaney, John Murray, Josh Stein, Katrīna Tračuma, Maria Markham, Robert Jackson, Saoirse O’Sullivan, Eamonn B. Shanahan, Lucy Lambe and Christina Geoghegan.
