Aiteann is the Irish word for Gorse, meaning sharp and lacerating.

It is a sacred plant associated with the Spring Equinox and the Celtic God of Light, Lugh.

Glas is the Irish word for green, the thorny green branches of the gorse plant are known for their protective powers against evil spirits.  This drawing is a meditation on the essence of the gorse plant.
