The photograph captures a single flower suspended in darkness, while soft pastel marks disrupt its stillness, suggesting motion, memory, and erosion. What appears delicate is also enduring; what is wounded continues to grow.
The traces of touch or breath, emphasising transformation rather than destruction. Moments that cannot be held, only felt, grief, change, and the subtle beauty found in what fades. Loss is not an end, but condition of becoming.
The work reflects on how we carry absence with us, how impermanence shapes identity, and how tenderness can exist alongside rupture. You can linger in that in-between space, where beauty and sorrow are inseparable.

Caoimhe Heaney
Even from a small child Caoimhe was fascinated with fantasy and the magic in the world. And this can still be seen in her work today. She has been working with art and on her art since her graduation from Crawford College of art and design in 2014. She has worked in many fields alongside always working on her art. And she takes elements from her experiences to influence her work. Caoimhe mainly works in the photomontage/ collage medium combining her own photos and found materials into surreal worlds.
