Soft Forest

The work is painted in response to climate change. The only way forward to save our planet is to reforest it to cool the climate and change the structure of carbon in our atmosphere. The painting was inspired by a research visit to a nearby parkland where one section of the forest was put aside for children with fantasy houses and little boxes on the trees. Sculptural pieces were included in the forest walk to inspire our next generation to appreciate trees and their role in our environment. The work is abstracted with the forest motifs taken back to simple shapes and soft colours.
